An armed mob set out into the Florida Everglades on Saturday to flush out a scaly invader. It sounds like the second act of a sci-fi horror flick but, really, it’s pretty much Florida’s plan for dealing with an infestation of Burmese pythons that are eating their way through a fragile ecosystem.Nearly 800 people signed up for the month-long “Python Challenge” that started Saturday afternoon. I’m not going, but it’s pretty badass. Imagine telling your chick and friends you’re headed to Florida to join an armed mob and go python hunting. If that doesn’t get your respect from your bros and get your chick turned on I don’t know what does. I mean, I’m not going to go, but it’s still pretty badass to go python hunting.
