Why do people love to make their dogs as humanly human as possible?

They dress them up in Halloween costumes, worry about feeding them the most organic food—even though they themselves don’t spend the extra bucks for the “better” stuff—and even train them to play sports.

Since we will probably never have the answer to this question, we’re just going to buy into the damn thing, and give the people what they want.
