With everyone probably still nursing a massive hangover from New Year’s still, we can only imagine the past two nights have been filled with some interesting stories.
And because you have absolutely no energy to do any work today, here are some ideas to help you plan your next vacation this new year. We give you a warning though, they won’t be your typical festival to enjoy.
So whether it’s getting really backcountry and hitting the redneck parade, or dressing up in some Halloween garb and heading to some drunken college campus to get really weird—some festivals prove that if you can think it, you can do it.
It may be impossible to attend all of these off-beat events, but with this guide to some of the most outrageous happening this year, at least you get an idea for the ones you want to try and get to!
The Burning Man Festival – Black Rock City, Nevada
When the organizers of an event describes itself as “an experiment in community, radical self-expression, and radical self-reliance,” you know it has to be a little weird. What’s even more bizarre, when searching for the aforementioned event, you still don’t get a straight answer for what it is. All we know is the Burning Man seems like a damn community of burnouts and hippies.
