In an ever-changing technological society like we live in today, it’s not uncommon to see a lot of different things become “dead tech” to us. So when a company decides to pull something off the shelves because it’s unnecessary, it’s really not all that surprising.
With the news that SONY will now stop producing portable cassette players at the beginning of the new year, we need to honor those stupid plastic things that helped so many of our early family vacations somewhat entertaining.
Cheers to the days when owning a walkman and listening to Vanilla Ice was the hip thing to do, because we’ll never see it again.
