The Songs Everyone Sings Alone To in Their Car

A couple months ago, we listed some songs that you just can’t help but hum along to anytime you hear them. We gave the example of us while in a grocery store hearing Savage Garden’s “Truly Madly Deeply” that sparked the conversation.
Well, we were back at it again the other day, as we drove two hours to our parents’ house for the holidays, belting out songs, alone, in our car.
It’s not so much that we’re embarrassed that we showed-up and had everyone asking if we were getting sick because our voice sounded like a frog—though that was a little annoying—it was that we actually knew the songs we lost our voice singing to.
So while it’s great to turn the stereo volume all the way up so you can’t hear yourself, it doesn’t save you from knowing that deep down, you’ll always “be the lead singer” when these songs play.
“Moves Like Jagger” – Maroon 5

If Adam Levine has moves like Jagger, than why are we listening to him talk about it, and not just turning our backs on him so he’s the lone guy who’s dancing alone?
Regardless of how you feel about the song, it’s catchy. On top of the beat, the words are simple, so you can’t help but sing with Levine.
It’s one of those tunes where you don’t even realize what you’re doing until the damn thing’s over and you actually just made it all the way through it.
Depressing.
