The great thing about it is that, with the obvious exception of Michael Caine, every member of the allied team was a genuine football star. Pele, Bobby Moore etc.

Gotta say that Sly kinda stuck out in that company. One of the earlier ‘random american to get the US market’ casting decisions. Still a decent flick though, as you say.
