Bizarre Story – St. Kitts and Nevis Runner Kim Collins Dropped from Team for Visiting Wife
Kim Collins was the flag-bearer for St. Kitts and Nevisin the London Olympic Opening Ceremony. But after a falling out with team officials, and an angry reaction by Collins on social media, it appears he won’t have a chance to be the standard-bearer in the men’s 100-meter championship. Collins said he’s been dropped from the race by St. Kitts and Nevis — all because, according to the sprinter, he spent time with his wife in a London hotel. Collins, 36, broke the news himself on Twitter and Facebook.
I post this because it’s an extremely bizarre story. I do believe there is more than meets the eye here, but this dude is 36 years old. He’s been an Olympian numerous times, this probably being his last. You’d think the country’s Olympic committee would have gotten to know the guy and would know if he’s good news or bad news. Just a bizarre story. I feel for Kim……. assuming his story is true. Read the story from the link above – It says he wasn’t seen for three days.. Peculiar.
