Pawleys Island, South Carolina
Personally I’ve been to Hilton Head and think it’s one of the best places on earth.  South Carolina in and of itself is a great state when it comes to aesthetics. Pawleys Island is a quiet, low-key landscape of marshes, sea oats, pelicans and peace. The perfect place for long walks at sunset or splashing in the surf with dogs or grandchildren. Or both.
Big Sur, California
Apparently one of the most romantic spots in the world. Granted California has beauty all around the state, Big Sur doesn’t get talked about as much as say a Napa Valley or even the beaches of San Diego. Definitely worth a look.
Cape Cod, Massachusetts
I take a quote from a travel writer on this one. “I have visited Provincetown, Cape Cod every summer since 1977. Race Point is the most gorgeous part of the National Sea Shore. To be there in the evening to experience a sunset is one of the most breathtaking visions to witness.” I too have been to Cape Cod and it’s quite a site to see.
*There are TONS of other places in America to see. I just thought this list was a great place to start.
