Seven of the Most Rewatchable TV Sitcoms of All Time

Published by at 7:20 am under Editorial,Entertainment

Who’s The Boss

Yeah I said it.  Come on kids.  You don’t agree with me?  With the exception of Jonathan and Mona that show kicked ass.  If anything to see how hot Alyssa Milano kept becoming.

Family Ties

What would you do baby with our love?  I think everyone would agree that with the exception of Tina Yothers, that show kicked ass.   Sure if it weren’t for Michael J Fox we might not have had much but that’s irrelevant.

Married…With Children

Anything before the arrival of Seven and the new dog qualifies as true Married With Children and every single one of those episodes brought something to the table.

(Grumble) Kids these days! I guess y’all were born too late.

You forgot some of the most “rewatchable” sitcoms of all time, including possibly the very most enjoyably rewatchable of them all, “I Dream of Jeannie.” Every episode is an unmitigated delight!

Then there’s the short-lived “Police Squad.” What a treat! With only six episodes made, I guess it must be rewatchable or it would have faded into oblivion. Never has so short-lived a program spawned more full-length movies (the three “Naked Gun” movies).

(I know OJ didn’t do it. Nordberg would NEVER do anything like that!)

And of course there’s Mel Brooks’ and Buck Henry’s “Get Smart,” as big a treat today as it was when it was new.

And who could forget the first and second Bob Newhart efforts, “The Bob Newhart Show” and “Newhart,” the latter of which had the greatest finale of any show ever.

Admittedly this is all a matter of taste, but leaving these great and timeless sitcoms out of such a list is definitely an intolerable omission.

Third Rock From the Sun, Taxi, Cheers, Soap, Married With Children, All in the Family and , of course, The Simpsons make my list

The Cosby show SUCKED after the second season. Nearly every show was a ‘look how dumb and evil men are’ story.
When that crap comes on in reruns, I go read a book or listen to some music!!
