Just recently I took a flight home from Florida.   Granted I live in New York and the flight wasn’t particularly long, there was one thing I recognized about the flight.   And it was the sheer amount of “stuff” I had to keep me occupied while in flight.

Think about it.  As early as 25 years ago people were smoking on flights, reading books, and playing cards.  That was about all you could do to waste time.  On my flight?  I had my iPad, iPhone, iTouch, netbook, laptop, regular book and God knows what else.

I popped in some old Always Sunny in Philadelphia episodes from iTunes and I was home before I knew it.  But how about the old days?  Think about how crappy it must have been.

TIME magazine revealed the 2011 choice for its iconic Person of the Year cover live on TODAY Wednesday. The Protester is this year’s choice, managing editor Rick Stengel told Matt Lauer and Ann Curry. As it has for the past 84 years, the weekly newsmagazine selected the person (or sometimes group, or thing) that its editors deemed had the single greatest impact during the past year, for better or for worse.

Winston Churchill, Martin Luther King Jr., Ghandi, and now ‘The Protester’. What… the…. f? Has ‘The Protester’ “catalyzed global revolution”? Really? I know everyone and their mother has been protesting, but really?  If you look into it, Time Magazine had the shortest, crappiest list of people in the running for this award. Kate Middleton, yeah she’s pretty hot. What a bad year for ‘Persons’. We really need to step it up in 2012 or we’ll be looking at Lindsay Lohan on the cover of this issue.

Every artist waits for that big break in their career. The one where some record exec stumbles upon a band, sits down at a gig with a brew, and thinks what they’re hearing is actually pretty damn good.

We all remember when Ke$ha broke out a couple years ago, while Mumford & Sons and Nicki Minaj found themselves atop the charts for most of this past year. But going into the new year, who are the acts to watch for? Well sit back and start typing these names into your Google search, ’cause we expect good things in 2012.

It’s been a while since I examined my foreign country preference when it comes to exceptionally attractive ladies.  Brazil is the place that just churns out super models.   Britain is the place that holds the large breasts crown.  Italy is just hot.  I love Greece.   And Argentina can hold its own.

So where does Colombia fit in all of this?  Honestly I have no idea.  I just know that the pictures you are about to see will make you pretty happy.
