If there’s one holiday I look forward to every year it’s Thanksgiving. Aside from alternating families each year, there’s very little not to like about Thanksgiving. In fact I will argue that it’s the best holiday of the year.
Sure there’s Christmas and New Year’s, but I just don’t think they compare to Thanksgiving.
And here are five reasons why I think it’s the best holiday….
There’s no Religion Involved
It’s one of the few universal holidays in the United States. I mean unless you’re a Native Indian then you kind of have to like and appreciate Thanksgiving. You don’t have to worry about going to temple or church. We, as Americans are supposed to be happy that we have what we have. And we don’t have to worry about God or Jesus or any of that crap for a day. We can just enjoy stuffing ourselves until we fall asleep.
Sure It’s About Thanks, But it’s About Food
Seriously, what other holiday is about food as much as Thanksgiving? And how awesome is that? Your number one concern on this day is eating as much as you can. It’s not about getting a present or giving a present or remembering to buy a card. It’s about eating. Period. And that my friends, kicks ass.
