The Portfolio

In case you haven’t noticed AOL is continuously striving to be younger, hipper, and more relevant.   They’ve been pretty proactive about recognizing that the whole dial up subscription based internet thing is out of favor and that faster, content oriented stuff is what people are into these days.

So why not start from the top on down?  Looks like they have, especially with their offices.   I happen to know a few folks that work there and yup, it’s just like the pictures.

Just in case you don’t know who she is,  Brooke Levi Vincent was born on June 4th 1992 and currently stars as Sophie Webster in Coronation Street and is part of the Street’s first lesbian romance.   Well, I’m pretty sure that’s about all I need.

This is most definitely one of the most dangerous thing I’ve ever seen, as I have to imagine alcohol was involved in some way, but since no one lost any body parts, I guess we can all just marvel at how cool it is.

Fun fact, I own a katana and I now want to try this out to see if it’s actually as sharp as it looks. But I’ll probably like, use a chair, not a human.

This is a rather awesome video showing Metallica playing a concert in Russia in the early ’90s. They had fans worldwide, despite America thinking that they owned them, and as you can see, things got pretty crazy.

Do Russians still rock this hard today? Can anyone out there testify to that?

Given how hot this small squad is,  no wonder they are known as the Extreme Dance Team.   In their sixth season supporting the IFL’s Bloomington Extreme indoor football franchise these girls know how to give it their all.

The dedication of the squad starts at the top with Stacy, who has been running the Extreme Dance Team since the inception of the franchise.  And other than that, I don’t have much to say.   I think the photos will speak for themselves.

Remember when you were a kid and you loved going to the local public pool?  I sure as hell do.  I would say until the age of 15 or so it was one of the most glorious experiences of the entire summer.   Everything from jumping in for the first time to diving off the diving board to eating the crappy snack bar food made for a great time.

But those same experiences and feelings as a kid would probably serve as big time negatives today.  In fact, there isn’t too much to enjoy about the public pool system anymore.
