It’d be kind of cool to live in a neighborhood where a movie is being shot.  I’ve heard that Hollywood can pay quite a bit of money to use your house in a movie.   Although it’s probably a pain in the ass when you think about it.  Eh, whatever.

That’s not really the point.  The point is that it’s hard to imagine people actually living in these houses outside of the movies themselves.

I’ve heard some pretty excellent stories of heroics brought on by adrenaline, but this one stands out. This man literally lifted a CAR off of someone to save their life. Yes, he’s a giant linebacker, but still, that sort of thing is normally reserved for like, Superman.

Danous Estenor had decided he was too hungry to wait until he got home for dinner, and as he parked his car outside the Bulls Den Cafe on USF’s campus, he heard a woman screaming for help.

Across the parking lot on that Thursday night in February, he saw a frightening scene: a tow truck driver pinned under the rear tire of a 1990 Cadillac Seville that had lurched forward as he worked underneath it, his wife struggling in vain with two men to lift the car. Anyone could have heard the screams. But fortunately for Pedro Arzola, Estenor is not only a football player at USF, he is one of the strongest ones, a 6-foot-3, 295-pound offensive lineman.

“I just see his legs,” said Estenor, 21, a child of Haitian immigrants from Palm Beach. “The car is crushing him. He’s not moving. I’m thinking, ‘Oh, God, this guy is going to die.’ ”

“I tried to lift the car, and when I first tried, it didn’t budge. I backed up. I don’t know. But I felt this energy come, and I lifted it. I don’t know how, but somebody pulled him from the car.”

Wow, someone give this guy a medal and then study him in a lab so we can replicate his DNA and give it to all of us.

Something tells me that we’re gonna hear a lot about Chelsea Costa over the next few years.   She wasn’t too well known before May 4th but given how amazing her body is (5’7 DD) and how beautiful she is, and the fact she’s on MTV now, I hope she makes it into the mainstream.

Chelsea you might want to take down your gmail address from your Model Profile.  I mean I get so many emails these days it’s brutal.  I can’t imagine how many you’ll start receiving.

This picture is part of a pretty awesome photo project that I can’t quite find the name of. It’s something like “Urban Ballerinas” and it involves taking pictures of very flexible girls all over NYC. Probably the single greatest idea for a photo project in history.

This is my favorite one I’ve seen so far above, as it captures the spirit of the whole affair. Also, she is really really hot, so that helps as well.

Usually I’ll feature WTF videos in this spot, but this one is just kind of cool. It’s footage from the ’70s where a tribe of isolated natives met a white man for the first time in history.

No, thankfully they didn’t kill and eat him, and it’s cool to watch them play with technology like it’s magic. It’s a long video, but it’s very much so worthwhile and I suggest you check it out above.

Of all the cheering squads in the NFL I have to go with the Houston Texans girls.  Sorry to the Cowboys but you’ve been trumped.   Which is why tryouts for this team are more important than any other in the league.

And this year was no exception.   When you feature two blond twins with giant “footballs” then you’ve got yourself an audition.   And just for good measure I of course added some delightful pictures from past auditions as well.

Last night I went to see the band Chicago perform live.   Even though they were without legendary vocalist Peter Cetera it was still an amazing show.  I mean I have to admit I wasn’t too pumped up beforehand but then realizing how many hits they had and the energy they brought to the table, it was pretty cool seeing them in action.

It’s nice to go see a band that still has the passion not to mention musical talent to carry a crowd for two hours.   Which by the way got me thinking about other bands I wouldn’t mind seeing live.

Unfortunately no one can see these original bands live again but it’d be nice if these eight bands could go just one more time…..
