Seeing how I had to name the above picture “magnetkid2.jpg” on my computer, I think I’ve written about him before. Though last time I believe I was in awe of his magical magnet properties, and now I realize he’s a fraud.

As it turns out, the kid isn’t magnetic. The way he gets stuff to stick to him is that he’s a special kind of greasy that allows crap to attack itself to him and stay. So he’s not exactly the most hygenic attraction out there. Oh well, perhaps young Magneto is out there somewhere.

I know Australia’s always been a little…off, but this latest bit of news makes me think that they might have lost their marbles once and for all.

It’s a news report about a new trend sweeping the country, planking. You essentially lie flat on something, like a plank, take a picture of it, and bam, you’ve just planked.

Why? Why? And also, why?

I have to admit that I’m not an avid watcher of the news.  I guess it’s because most of the time I’m reading stuff online.   You can’t really blame me can you?  It’s what I’m pretty much doing all day.

But if there are moments I do watch the news nothing draws my attention more than when a sexy woman is reporting to me.  Call it sexist but I just find it better when an attractive woman tells me what’s going on in the world.

I really wish more broadcasts were like this…..

I’m not a big guns guy.   I’m not really into guns.  I don’t think guns should really be used and that’s just the way I feel about that.   But I suppose I can understand the masculine desire to own and shoot a gun.  I just don’t think it’s necessary is all.

At the same time I am certainly impressed by certain guns.   Even more impressive is when people make guns out of what appear to be spare car parts or whatever the hell is lying around the house.
