There’s been plenty of funny NBA players throughout it’s history but I’m not that old a dude so I really can’t speak to the exploits of dudes in the 70s and whatever the hell Wilt Chamberlain used to do to prank people.

But in my era or few eras I suppose, there have been some real jokesters out there.   Some of the funniest guys are in the league today and others are pretty recent.

To simplify things I’ve taken funny dudes in the last 20 years…..

Charles Barkley

Anyone who disputes this is flat out wrong.   This video is only one of about a million funny things Barkley has done over the years.   There is no limit for Charles and the best part about him is that he’s extremely intelligent when it comes to hoops so you respect him that much more.

Dwight Howard

If anything you gotta love Dwight Howard’s smile.  For such a big intimidating force, Howard is one funny dude.   It was even better when he had braces.

Shaquille O’Neal

I think it’s a toss up between Shaq and Barkley.   Personally I think Shaq is funnier as a player.   Barkley hit is stride when he became a TNT analyst.

Steve Nash

People just don’t realize how funny Steve Nash is off the court.  The dude is a prankster king and loves making ridiculous commercials.   I love Steve Nash

Greg Oden

Poor Greg Oden isn’t even in the league and may never really develop into a good player but word is he’s one of the funniest guys in the league.   I think a lot stems from the fact that he looks 50.

Delonte West

I’m putting in West simply because I’ve heard that nearly ever player in the league has said that West is one of the funniest guys in the league so I’ll take their word for it.

Ron Artest

He’s funny just because of who he is and it’s pretty damned funny.

Dennis Rodman

Rodman’s another one who doesn’t try to be funny, he just is because of how ridiculous he is/was/is.
