I know love is hard to find, but I would hope there’s a better option to find it than simply looking in the mirror. But more or less, that’s what one new dating site is proposing.

In a 1989 study published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, male and female “raters” were asked to judge the faces of 60 couples (some real, some strangers included as a control) on a nine-point scale, where 1 represented no similarity and 9 indicated the hypothetical case of opposite-sex twins. The average score for non-couples was 3.52; among actual couples, the average was 4.05. Concluded the study: “The results suggest that the observation of facial resemblance among couples appears to reflect a real phenomenon.”

So following the reasoning that facial similarities seem to help with initial attraction, Findyourfacemate.com decided to use a “facial-recognition technology developed by Face.com, which zeros in on nine points on each face — the eyes, ears, nose, chin, and the corners and center of the mouth — to find similarities” between potential romantic partners.

So think about it, do you look like your siginficant other? Sorry if I’ve broken up any couples by weirding them out with this news, but someone had to tell them.

Have you guys ever seen the movie Adventureland?  Reason I bring it up is because I get this vibe that I did from the movie.  The movie had this hot chick in it that everyone called “Lisa P.”  I feel like Lisa Michelle S has the same appeal.

As if you were working with this girl and you’d always call her Lisa S.  Regardless, Lisa resides in Bay Shore which is really not to far from me.  Suffice it to say I’d like to somehow pay her a visit.  I wonder if my wife would mind.  Eh, whatever.

Behold, the modern day mother. Texting while her newborn baby flouders around nearby. Granted she’s probably texting about him, but I’d just make sure he doesn’t start rolling. Can they do that when they’re that young or do they just kind of flounder around like they’re a turtle that’s been flipped over? Clearly I’m going to be a great parent as well.

When you hear ” mime” you automatically think of those creepy French guys with their faces painted. But in Japan, the art form is much cooler, as they’re allowed to talk and are actually, surprisingly, funny.

These guys appeared on a British talent show, and their act is top notch. It’s pretty goofy at times, but even their simple tricks are quite funny because of their personality and execution, despite neither of them speaking English. I guess humor can in fact be universal sometimes.

I can’t believe that I’m actually putting up more hockey related posts.  Then again they are female related.   By the way I know I’ve said that I really dislike hockey in the past.  I’d like to amend this statement by saying I can’t stand hockey on television.

I’ve been to a couple of hockey games in person and I have to say they are extremely exciting.   And when a fight happens, well then that’s just a great bonus then isn’t it?

Speaking of bonuses, the ice girls for the Flyers are lovely….

As we all know, Blake Griffin pretty much tore it up at this year’s dunk contest.   I mean the things he did were certainly comparable to the likes on Dwight Howard, another big man who stunned the crowd.   As many reporters put it, “Blake Griffin is scary.”

Seriously, the dunks this guy pulls are literally frightening.   What’s even scarier is the fact this this guy is coming off of major surgery.  And what’s even freakier is the fact that he can pull these dunks in games.
