As our economy continues to struggle one of the biggest issues on improving it is deciding what taxes we should be raising, lowering, introducing, or flat out eliminating.

Perhaps if we got creative we could both save and produce some money here.  Although something tells me that these six real taxes might not be part of the discussion……

The Portfolio

I never really understood the validity in spending hundreds if not thousands more dollars just to sit first class on an airplane.  For the super rich I get it completely because where the hell else can you spend your money?  It’s not like charities need help or anything.

Seriously though, perhaps a few times in my life I’ll fly first class but I won’t make it a habit.  Then again, first class cabins these days are looking pretty stellar if I do say so.

As  a blogger myself, I have respect for people in other professions taking to the internet to tell it like it is. But I also know what it’s like to get in trouble for doing so, like this woman in hot water for blogging about her students.

A high school English teacher in suburban Philadelphia who was suspended for a profanity-laced blog in which she called her young charges “disengaged, lazy whiners” is driving a sensation by daring to ask: Why are today’s students unmotivated — and what’s wrong with calling them out?

As she fights to keep her job at Central Bucks East High School, 30-year-old Natalie Munroe says she had no interest in becoming any sort of educational icon. The blog has been taken down, but its contents can still be found easily online.

Her comments and her suspension by the middle-class school district have clearly touched a nerve, with scores of online commenters applauding her for taking a tough love approach or excoriating her for verbal abuse. Media attention has rained down, and backers have started a Facebook group.

“My students are out of control,” Munroe, who has taught 10th, 11th and 12th grades, wrote in one post. “They are rude, disengaged, lazy whiners. They curse, discuss drugs, talk back, argue for grades, complain about everything, fancy themselves entitled to whatever they desire, and are just generally annoying.”

I feel her pain, kids these days are spoiled lazy brats on a level I never even thought was possible. I hope she wins her case and the attention makes parents take notice.

This is one of the first times I’ll be posting a female where I only have 4 pictures of her.  I mean unless I use all of the nude ones I’ve scoured the internet looking for more photos and I just can’t find any.  Granted I wrote this about a month ago when Lacey Banghard just won her Sun Page 3 contest.

She’s 18, British, has a big chest, and that’s about all we ever need to know right?  This girl is truly a spectacle to see.

You know, this picture would be WTF enough by itself, but it’s a little added touch that makes it completely worthwhile. Have you spotted it yet. Wait for it…wait for it…

BAM! Pee. All sorts of pee.

Yeah, that might be photoshop, but I would guess that if I saw these terrifying creatures, I would probably piss myself too. And I am not seven years old.

So you’ve all been hearing about this IBM computer that’s playing against the best players in Jeopardy history. It’s a cool concept and one that I was really looking forward to seeing.

Unfortunately I missed it, as did many of you I’m sure, and here’s the first part of that video. I haven’t watched it yet, but I’m told the robot kicks ass. We are all doomed. I expect this thing to rule us all in the next five years.

To this day I still can’t really understand the notion of Spring Break.   Looking back on college, what in the hell are you taking a break from exactly?  Drinking 5-7 times a week, hooking up with random chicks, getting into trouble and occasionally attending class?

Yeah I could see why one would need a “break” from that so they can focus ONLY on the drinking part.   Man I still can’t believe how ridiculous college was.  What a joke.
