The amazing thing about cartoons is that the majority of them are high symbolic of the feelings and thoughts of adults.  Kids never realize this.  They just like all the pretty colors and zany characters.

However, if you watch them closely you can see tons of symbolism and if you dig deeper you might be able to see a foundation from which the cartoons were created.   For many shows I argue that drugs were a part of the creative process.

If you tell me drugs were part of the creation of these five cartoons then I think you’d be lying…..

How awesome is this?  Seriously.  And it’s not just Philadelphia where the 80s were “happening.”   It was everywhere.  These just happen to be a photo set that I found where the style was particularly awesome and they style happened to be taking place in Philly.

I can’t believe how different we are only 25 years after this period.  I can’t believe how much it sucks now.  I can’t believe that this look was accepted back then and that men actually thought to themselves “man these chicks are hot.”

You know how sad it is when mothers make their little girls dress up in giant poofy dresses and tons of makeup to compete in pageants? Well, how about entering the same contests AS A BOY? Oh, but don’t worry, it’s just like signing them up for sports. Sure.

Tracy Miller says her son, Zander, is one of the best. “I’m always surprised when Zander wins,” she said. “And we mainly do them for fun and because he enjoys doing it. So, it’s just like, you know, you put your child in baseball or soccer or swimming. They enjoy doing it. So, this is what Zander enjoys.”

The 6-year-old from Missouri has been competing since he was a baby.

“They’re fun, and you get to win a bunch of trophies and crowns,” Zander said.

Sure he loves it, he’s six! But soon he will be 12 and will be getting his ass kicked up and down Jr. High because everyone found out he was  “pageant boy” when someone Google “Zander Miller.” What the hell are these moms thinking?

Sexy 27-year-old brunette beauty, Samantha Sizemore hails from Birmingham, Alabama. When she’s not working her day job as an accountant, she spends her time modeling everything from bikinis to fashion.  Isn’t that awesome?

She’s worked as a ring girl a promotions model for ESPN and has appeared in tons of magazines and fashion shows.  Other than that she’s known for taking long tractor rides and having her way with young farm boys….or not.

For some reason, the internet has decided to get all pissed with the TSA now for groping people and making them throw away their hair gel. I’m not sure why all the outrage now, but I guess I’ll roll with it. For some reason, even though I look vaguely middle eastern (I’m Italian), I’ve never been pulled for extra screening.

One time though, I was getting on a plane and TSA people came over and started looking in every fifth person’s back. Really, are you basing your entire security setup on the fact that 20% of the time, you’ll have a .0001% chance of finding kontraband in a bag. and .00000000% of the time it will be a terrorist? Good grief.

We all know that many celebrities do commercials overseas so it won’t hurt their image here, and though there’s nothing damning about this spot with George Clooney and John Malkovich, it’s pretty damn weird.

It’s a French coffee ad in which George Clooney gets killed by a falling piano(?) and goes to heaven where John Malkovich is guarding the Pearly Gates and wants his coffee as a bribe to let him live. George refuses, and the next two minutes are spent with the duo discussing how heaven is full of millions of hot women and no bathrooms. And that the coffee is good.

Porristas is a Spanish word for cheerleaders.  I don’t know why but I’m guessing there’s more to that word than meets the eye.  Reason I’m saying this is because the cheerleaders that hail from South American and Latin American countries are a different breed.

I feel like they come from some sort of stripping school.  That’s what they must teach their cheerleaders down there.  “Please be as much like strippers as possible.”
