High Fashion Designers Have Officially Stopped Trying

Published by at 11:00 am under Pictures

Look, I get that designing clothes is hard. Lord knows I couldn’t do it. But seriously, don’t make something like this and try to pass it off as “avant-garde.” You have simply stretched clothes over a piece of cardboard and made some poor girl walk in a straight line while wearing it.

I wish I could see more photos in this collection. What ever could be next? A circle? A triangle? Don’t tell me he went for a HEXAGON!

This type of fashion is more about pattern and material exposition, its obviously not meant to be worn anywhere other than the runway.

I hope this is a social commentary on the dangers of anorexia and self-perception in modelling.

Is there a point to high fashion? Like, would anyone be sad if aliens invaded and ate all the high fashion designers?

I think designers do this sort of stuff as a joke.

No one can take that seriously – it’s obviously not meant to be worn in real life.

I’m not sure it’s even about “pattern and material exposition” as Bigups43 commented. Seems more like a terribly unfunny joke that no one but other “designers” would get.
