I love to swim as much as the next guy.  I mean there are certain situations where I think it’s annoying.  Like when you’re in the ocean and the current is kind of rough or it’s really wavy.  That’s why I prefer pools.  But when you’re talking a pool of this magnitude?  I don’t know.  It’s not like I’d be worried about sharks but something that deep kind of scares me.

The deepest swimming pool in the world was opened in 2004 in Brussels, Belgium.  In fact, it’s a Recreational Diving Center, called Nemo 33. The swimming pool floor consists of flat platforms at different levels. The pool has two large flat-bottomed areas at depth levels of 5m (16 ft) and 10m (32 ft), and a large circular pit of 33m (108 ft)

180 feet?  No thanks….

I’m tempted to make fun of Japan as I usually do here, but really this is more sad than anything else. Japanese men are so scared of dating actual women, they are turning to a Nintendo DS dating game for romance, and not just the virtual kind.

There’s a game called Love Plus, where players court three different girls, and end up with one of them. In the game, the final reward is a hotel trip to Atami. But now, some players are shelling out big bucks to make the trip in REAL LIFE.

The men are real. The girls are cartoon characters on a screen. The trips are actual, can be expensive and aim to re-create the virtual weekend outing featured in the game, a product of Konami Corp. played on Nintendo Co.’s DS videogame system.

“Atami has always been a romantic place, but it is now a romantic place for a modern generation,” says Sakae Saito, Atami’s mayor.

Some devoted fans will go so far as to pay twice the rate—most hotels in Japan charge per guest not per room—to indulge the fantasy that they are not there alone. A night’s stay, at most, can cost $500 though many rooms are cheaper.

“There isn’t a lot of romance in my life and this helps me cope with some of the loneliness,” said Mr. Fukazawa with a chuckle.

Gahhh, so depressing. Since we usually get most of our tech trends from Japan, is this going to be our future here in America as well? Virtual dates with manga chicks? I’m sure some are doing it already, but if this becomes a phenomenon, I fear for the future of the human race.

It’s tough to mess with a chick who is 5’0, 110 lbs, and is Brazilian and Salvadorian.  That is the combo of Monica Contreras.   She’s 23 years old, is fluent in Spanish,  and unfortunately doesn’t do bondage shoots.

I guess you can’t have them all can you.  Oh well.  Still though, I can’t hold anything against Monica. I feel like I would be helpless against any comment she would dial at me with some crazy Latina accent.  Then we would dance and life would be anew.  What the f*&$ am I talking about?

What do you do when you hands are too small and soft to effectively perform a rockin guitar solo?

Just say screw that, and do it with your mouth!

Uhh what? Yeah, I know, that’s what I said at first, and I was quite skeptical, but this is actually extremely worthwhile. Gives hope for the rest of us with no musical talent. Although to be fair, I could probably be Jimi Hendrix before I learned how to do this.

If you’re over the age of 25, a male, have a job, and are somewhat “normal” by human standards then you’re probably someone who finds ways to compete even though you’re just not like you used to be.  The glory days of high school and college are over and you try to find ways to be “better” than your buddies.

But the sad thing is, aside from your job, place in life, etc etc, there aren’t too many competitions that matter anymore.  Yet we still find crap to fight about and we still, in our own pathetic ways rub it in when we’re the victor.

I have nothing but anger and sadness when I see a picture like this.  Anger because I will never live that lifestyle again.  Sadness because I’ll most likely be masturbating about five minutes which will surely be followed by a long cry due to my boring life.

College was the best and there’s just no getting around that.  When the hell else in your life (unless you’re super rich or famous) will you get to go to a party where every girl is dressed like this?  I’m starting to get suicidal here.   Seriously my life is ending one minute at a time here.
