At first, this is just your typical fat guy yelling at the screen local commercial, like we’ve seen so many times before.

But about halfway through, things change gears, and Oliver Cashman (surely his real name) is surrounded by dancing models, presumably paid for by all your old jewelery.

Hey, I’d trust him over Cash4Gold any day.

Did you know that last month was home to National Donut Day?  Yup, that’s right. National Donut Day is on the first Friday of June each year, succeeding the Donut Day event created by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.

So while some people are enjoying donuts just for the hell of it on that day, others realize that they’re eating those donuts to honor women donut servers.  I use it as a chance to post hot chicks.  We all have our reasons.

The other day I was at a wedding and I got into a very interesting conversation with a person with whom I now admire greatly.  First of all he was an interesting guy in general but when he told me he didn’t own a television or a cell phone I had to talk to this guy for longer.  Not to get into the entire conversation but let’s just say the guy is well read and his reasoning for these omissions in his life make a ton of sense.

Now I know know my whole job is on the computer, however even I can understand where technology is kicking our ass.  Technology is great, don’t get me wrong.  However, my conclusion was that for personal interaction and relationships, technology can be extremely harmful (but yes I think beneficial in some ways, mostly for business).

I mean when kids use the word “friend” to describe someone they only know through Facebook?  To me that’s scary.  While we don’t have to do this at all times, perhaps we should take moments in our lives to forget about technology for a while.

Which is why I’m posing these five anti-tech challenges to you today….

I never really gave much thought to the traffic light until I stumbled across these pictures.   I mean the simple red, yellow, green would appear to be enough wouldn’t it?  Hell I’m not sure I’d really want too many distractions and have a reason to pear at a light any longer than I should.

Well this is one for the WTF files. Police are currently trying to solve the mystery of a dead biker, found shot in the head at the scene of a crash with a deer. Here are all the details that are known.

Pennsylvania State Police are trying to piece together the puzzling death of a motorcyclist in Westmoreland County.

According to police reports, William Mark Amos, 47, of Export, was riding on Route 819 in Salem Township when the deer crossed into his path on Friday morning.
The bike collided with the deer about 100 yards south of Ridge Road.

But police said that Amos had a gunshot wound to the head and that a gun was also recovered at the crash scene.

This sounds like an episode of CSI or something. The way I see it, the guy hit the deer, then the deer’s family came to the scene, saw what happened, and plugged the biker in the head as he lay on the pavement. What do you mean deer can’t hold guns? Their antlers are practically gun racks themselves.

On how Canadian born Diana Bello first got into Playboy:

A good girlfriend of mine was in Playboy. I was definitely interested. I asked her how to get in. She gave me the contact info for the photographer. I went in for a test shoot, then it was all about the waiting game. Then I got the phone call! I was going to be in Playboy! We shot all day. I was nervous and my first shoot ever was with Playboy. I ended up in 3 Special editions! Playboy’s Natural Beauties, Playboy’s Sexy Girl Next Door, and Playboy’s Lingerie. I was proud! I felt like I could take over the world!

I tell ya I would feel like I could take over the world if I were as attractive as Diana.  Do you realize how much power a woman has when she looks like this?  Hell I just had to take a 10 minute break to get my composure back.
