Looks like an amazing photograph doesn’t it?  Well that’s because it is.  But have you ever wondered how in the hell a photo like that even gets taken in the first place?  I mean wouldn’t one have to be awfully close to that tornado?  The answer is yes.  Ever seen the movie Twister?  That’s about the closest depiction you’ll see of some of these fanatics who chase storms for a living.

These folks actually drive through, around, and inside major storms to get data on what the storms are doing both in a physical and scientific sense.    It’s truly amazing.  Some might say idiotic but then again we wouldn’t have great knowledge on certain types of inclement weather if not for these brave people.
