The Portfolio

As the summer nears us and I realize that the majority of it will be spent indoors (which pisses me off to no end) I tend to cringe at beautiful scenery.  I long for beach days and lounging by the pool.  I miss the days of jumping off the high diving board and splashing water on people I don’t even know.

Hell I miss just going away on vacation.  And every once in a while I see a place that I wish I could be at the very moment I see it.  Today that place is Turnip Rock, in Lake Huron, MI.

The water is as clear as day and I’d give anything to get a boat out there right now.

He couldn’t have done it, he’s too pretty!

But not so, Ian Rutledge is a shady mo-fo, and is a cross-dressing car thief in this rather strange story.

Ciardo first met Rutledge in April, when Ciardo put his car up for sale on Craigslist. Ciardo said Rutledge agreed to buy the car. They agreed to meet in the Brookfield Square parking lot so Rutledge could buy the car.

“All the times we’ve talked over the phone, and on Craigslist, I always thought it was a woman, from the voice,” Ciardo said.

So he was shocked to learn Rutledge was a man. But even more shocked when he says Rutledge drove off in his car. Police said Rutledge then led Wauwatosa Police on a 100 mile per hour chase through residential neighborhoods, in Ciardo’s car.

100 mph chase through residential neighborhoods? That’s one fast chick! But really, the best part of all this is that mugshot. I just wish we could have seen him in the full get-up before he went to jail.

Do any of you know who Claudia Colucci is?  I had no clue until this week.   Apparently however she has a nice little following going on Twitter and she was a big hit in Brazil’s most recent Big Brother show.   Claudia doesn’t strike me as the hottest girl in the world but the fact that she doesn’t care about lounging topless and getting drunk and horny is helpful.

Plus Claudia has that every day look.  The kind of look that makes guys like me think they actually have hope in this world.  Like my odds might be more than 1/1000 when approaching this female.

What’s Peter Pans’ story here? I’m not quite sure, but if he’s a street performer expecting to get tips, I think that everyone would be way too scared to even go near him.

Nah, if I had to guess, he’s some Russian on the way to the ballet, and decided to show off for some tourists. Why is he in costume already? Uh, maybe he was just fired from the Russian Ballet then, and has now gone insane on the subway trip home.

In any case, stop staring man, your pose is creepy enough as is.

When backpacking across Europe, you wouldn’t really expect someone to know Pink Floyd or Black Sabbath, much less an accordion-playing street musician.  But that’s just what these guys found, and the guy can actually rock out pretty hard. Well, not “hard,” but as hard as you can get while actually playing an accordion.

Still, if you want to learn an instrument to earn money on the street, I’d say the accordion is probably one of your worse bets.

If there’s one thing I tell my wife that I think is sexy, it’s when she cleans.   Honestly I’m not even joking.  Maybe it’s because I know my wife isn’t the most cleanly of women.  She tends to like leaving things out and let’s just say I’m a neat freak.  My point is that when you get your women out of her comfort zone you know she’s doing something special for you.  And that in my mind, makes it kind of sexy.

Plus, you can’t tell me it’s not awesome when some girl in short shorts is bending over a boiling pot of water and concentrating really hard.  It’s just sexy.

Well, I can’t say it’d be hot if unattractive women were doing this in front of me but whatever.  You know what I mean.  Hot chicks doing anything is fun and watching them do housework is special in it’s own right….

They make promises they can’t keep.  They do dirty under the deal tables.  They cheat on their spouses.  They do whatever they have to do to get into the good graces of the public, no matter what the consequence.  Yes, this is the world of politics.   It’s a dirty world.  A sordid underground of power, wealth, and opposing opinions.

It’s not about us.  It’s about them and the influence they can exert.  But as young people we are not taught this.  We are taught that we’re in a democracy.  That we actually can make a difference.  I’m afraid that notion left me some time ago.

And I’m also afraid that even the youth of today are getting it.  Hell even babies are freaked out by politicians.  Check out the evidence after the jump
