The Portfolio

Given that the world is now pretty much digital, the use for video and tape cassettes is dwindling quite rapidly.  I guess someone had to figure out how to use all of this tape.  Turns out someone did.   An artist who I came across on Flickr by the name of Iri5 came up with a unique idea which goes something like this…

I showcase a number of portraits of musicians made out of recycled cassette tape with original cassette. Also included are portraits made from old film and reels. The idea comes from a philosopher’s (Ryle) description of how your spirit lives in your body. I imagine we are all, like cassettes, thoughts wrapped up in awkward packaging.

Yes, my title just sounds like I’m throwing random words together to form a headline, but I promise you I’m not. This really happened, and it’s most definitely the most WTF thing you’ll hear about all day.

BERVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Brevard County doctor who was arrested for groping a woman while dressed as Captain America with a burrito in his pants will not go to jail.

On Saturday night, when a costume party full of medical professionals stopped at On Tap Cafe, police said Adamcik had a burrito stuffed below the waistband of his costume and was asking women if they want to touch it. When one refused, he allegedly took out the burrito and groped her.

The woman called police and, when they arrived, the officers wrote in their report “there were so many cartoon characters in the bar at the time, all Captain America’s were asked to go outside for a possible identification.” The woman pointed out Adamcik and the burrito was found in his boot. He was taken to the police station.

Holy crap, this is the greatest news story I’ve ever heard. Sorry uh, you know, the woman got groped, but good lord, all this AND a burrito down the pants? Are you kidding me?

This definitely needs to be the plot of the upcoming Captain America movie.

According to one of her model profiles Marta Gut is 5’5 and weighs 10 lbs.  Yes, ten lbs.  While that was a typo I still got a kick out it.  However, I assume it means 100 lbs which is a great sign.  A woman that light would be a fun time, that much I can guarantee.

Honestly I don’t know too much about the Gootster other than the fact that she’s Polish.  So she’s got that going for her…which is nice.  I have nothing to say.  I’m 100% out of any kind of semblance of anything right now.  Oh well.

Alright, this is NOT racist. Yes, it is a black kid rapping about his love for chicken, but I’m posting it cause he’s hilarious, not because he proves any racial stereotypes by doing so.

OK so the song IS called “Bust the windows out your car for some chicken” but still, that’s just awesome.

Can he actually rap? No, he’s terrible, but I like his spirit, and I just hope he never busts the windows out my car for some chicken, because watching this song and seeing his deep love for chicken, I don’t think he’d hesitate to do it.

I gotta be truthful about something.  When the weather was/is cold you do a lot of justifications about certain things.  For example you point to things like ski bunnies and how sometimes it’s nice to see a female in a sweater.  You even say stuff like “but building snowmen is fun!”  But you know something?  No.

Nothing compares to the hot sun.  Nothing compares to the beach.   Nothing compares to females having to get all wet and sweaty.  It’s just awesome and I’m not looking forward to the weather cooling up at all.  Please stay like this weather.  Please.

I just celebrated my one year anniversary a few weeks ago and since that time I’ve had a chance to reflect on a few things that make my marriage work.  I mean I hope it works considering it’s only been a year.  Then again I’ve been with my lady for over 5 years now and I think that qualifies as a nice base of knowledge in working relationships.

The one thing I realized that makes me and the wife work is our absolute 100% sharing of everything.  In particular I’m talking about the not so nice things.  The bodily functions and the bathroom antics.  If you don’t see this part of a human being then you’re not seeing it all.
