When I went on my honeymoon in Hawaii I had a chance to drive on a volcano.  Isn’t the kind of weird?  Like I never really knew that the actual volcano was this incredibly gigantic mass.  In fact it was a national park.  Usually when you think of volcanoes it’s the lava and the explosions that come to mind.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to see the lava because it would have required some annoying tour and me getting back to my hotel way too late.  Still though, it was pretty badass.

I can’t imagine what it must be like for photographers who have to capture volcanoes in action.  While it’s obviously dangerous the pictures end up being phenomenal.
