The Portfolio

At various points in our relationship I’ve stressed the importance of a bed to my wife.  Personally I don’t think enough Americans realize how much a bed matters in life.  After all you spend literally 1/3 of your entire life on a bed.  Kind of makes you second guess yourself when you’re trying to save a couple hundred bucks for 10 years of your life.

I’m not saying to go out and spend tons of money but there are certain items out there that you don’t skimp on.  A quality chair is definitely one of those things.  Most people spend 5-8 hours in a chair per day so that thing better damned well be comfortable.

Although something tells me I won’t be purchasing these chairs anytime soon…

This guy set up a secret camera to see what was eating his food, only to find that a homeless woman had secretly taken up residence in a storage space above his kitchen. She had been up there for several weeks before he found her and had police come to remove her.

Can someone please tell me what the hell we are looking at here?  Guy?  Girl?  Robot?  Something?  Anything?

everyone is getting nostalgic about the loss of Conan O’Brien, I view this video and almost vomit.  Not sure if it’s at Conan O’Brien or at how homoerotic Robert Plant was without his shirt on.

I think almost every guy has said to himself at some point “I’d marry her if she asked me” when referring to a certain female celebrity.  It’s a fun game we all play in our heads and it’s nice to dream about what life might be like with one of these women.

But in all honesty it would probably be pretty annoying.  But what if you could marry a celebrity without all the fuss of having to attend premieres, being followed around all the time by the paparazzi, and virtually having no private life?

What if she were your virtual sex slave, barely spoke any English, no hassle of too much attention and was there are your beck and call?  Yes, women like this exist:  Mail order brides that look like some of the hottest female celebrities.

Every year media outlets like Life or Reuters do their selections for the best photos of a given year.  And since we just began 2010, there are still loads of great shots from 2009 still filing in.  Clearly of the billions of photos that were taken during a 365 day span it’s extremely difficult to single out 100 of them, let alone twenty.

But from all the “best photos of 2009″ searches I did, I managed to find 20 pictures that I felt represented the year very well.  Most are kind of serious and “worldly” but don’t worry there’s some humor in there.
