15 Amazing Pictures of Antarctica

Antarctica is Earth’s southernmost continent, underlying the South Pole surrounded by the Southern Ocean. At 14.0 million km² (5.4 million sq mi), it is the fifth-largest continent in area after Asia, Africa, North America, and South America. About 98% of Antarctica is covered by ice, which averages at least 1.6 kilometres (1.0 mi) in thickness.
Basically what this means is that I’ll never, ever visit Antarctica. However, that doesn’t mean it isn’t an incredible place. In fact, its climate is reason you can get so many amazing pictures of this place.
While most people will never physically see this place, it’s a wonder in pictures….
