When most people think electricity they think Thomas Edison.  Granted Edison was a genius and is responsible for many practical machines we have today, the true badass in electricity is Nikola Tesla.  First of all his name is much cooler and second of all David Bowie played him in The Prestige.

Any of you who are literally thinking that I’m pathetic for writing that can really suck it.  But in all honesty Tesla is the “flashier” of the two and some of his work merits serious mention.

Perhaps Tesla’s coolest nickname is the “Master of Lightning.”  Here are 15 examples of Tesla’s principles being put to use.
