Serena Williams retained the No. 1 world ranking by being the best player in her family Thursday night. Williams defeated older sister Venus 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in the semifinals of the Sony Ericsson Open in Key Biscayne, Fla.

It’s still somewhat interesting when the sisters meet in the finals of a major.  But at the Sony Ericsson Open in Florida?  There’s gotta be better sports news out there.

Well I guess there’s the drunken pictures I have of the Marlins Mermaids.  Those little bad boys will be shared on Monday.  But for now I guess as good a debate as any would be….
