12 Really Strange Museums To Potentially Visit

Ever felt like seeing what absolutely horrible works of art look like? OK, how about an entire museum dedicated to the penis? Well I’ve managed to find a gem of a list to share with you all. But notice I said “potentially visit” in the title. After all, I can’t exactly say I’d desire to look around at nothing but toasters.
However, museums do teach us a thing or two about the past and present. They give us insight into culture, trends, and human existence as we know it. It’s just that I think some people might take these interpretations a little too far.
I mean do we really need a museum dedicated to women having their periods?

A thanks to Mybadpad for finding these
The Museum of Bad Art – Dedham, Massachusetts

Head on off to Massachusetts and you will not be finding coveted works of art by famous painters. The works in here were literally created by colorblind people and those suffering from hard tremors.
The Museum of Odd Socks – Virtual Location

This might very well be one of the worst museum ideas I’ve ever heard of and I refuse to believe it’s real. It’s exactly what it sounds like. Lonely knitters from around the world have their individual socks on display. Each sock has its own name and I would imagine that the customers go home and not have sex.
The Erotic Museum – Paris, France

Well it’s not quite as great as you think. I would have hoped there’d be peep shows and possible live shows. However, this is a place to lay eyes on historical works of erotic art. I hear the Erotic Smurf is a real eye catcher.
The Torture Museum – Amsterdam

You just have to love Amsterdam. If you want to get a glimpse of the insanely masochistic human torture times, head over to this place. This isn’t exactly a family establishment.
The Virtual Banana Museum – Auburn, Washington

An entire museum dedicated to Bananas. I have nothing left to say.
The World Carrot Museum

Did I just say I had nothing else left to say? Carrot art, instruments, and medical advice. Oh boy!
The Toilet Museum – Virtual Location

Finally, a museum that Al Bundy could appreciate. Find out more than you could ever know about the crapper. Also, take a look at some interesting toilet art.
Paris Sewers Museum – Paris, France

Although the sewer system in Paris is one of the most sophisticated in the world, pictures would still do it justice without spending an afternoon smelling human waste. I mean what’s the point of this?
The Toaster Museum – Virtual Location

This museum is claiming that the toaster gives insight into industrial design and cultural trends of the 20th century. I claim that this is the more sorry excuse for anything ever.
Museum of Parasitology – Tokyo Japan

Devoted to the research and education on parasites, this museum is dedicated to stuff like intestinal tapeworms, scabies, crabs, and anything else that wants to burrow into the body. Wonderful!
Icelandic Phallological Museum – Husavik, Iceland

Best. Museum. Ever.
Museum of Menstruation – Virtual Location

Worst. Museum. Ever
