The Myspace Toolbox: Marcopolo Italiano

While using the mix from the song “Hey mambo!” to now say “Hey Marco!” is somewhat amusing, I’m just not sure that the clothes are. However, I didn’t seem to think that chubby white dudes got away with using hip hop slang, and yet here we are.
So I guess what I’m saying is that the world is full of surprises and perhaps Marcopolo is the next generation of stars. I guess the only thing to do now is embrace it. Well that or kill myself.
So I guess now I’m just trying to find a good spot to die in.

Hi, first of all the song Hey Marco was adapted from Rosemary Clooneys’s (1954) ‘Mambo Italiano’ rather than ‘Hey Mambo’ , though that is the strong line in the chorus of the same. While I’m correcting your music trivia let me say that you owe MarcoPolo the praise of being very original here when it comes to concept, going to 1954 to find a hip -hop (or pop-hop) track is somewhat unique. We Marco and myself (management) thank you for the mention, even if you’ve thus far refrained from being a fan. Should you provide me a mailing address, Marco would love to send a copy of his latest CD (to be released- soon).
Also Marco is a member of the Italian Hip Hop Movement…research that- and I urge you to show some respect if you decide to write about it. Thanks.
Best Regards,

PS Chubby hasn’t hurt this guy anymore than it did Capone or countless heavy entertainers i.e. Notorious Big, Heavy ‘D’ etc. (LL Cool J, no LLMPI!) Watch is videos at My Space or You Tube…
Natty, some publicist I am! – In my defense: for the sake of clarity I’d written the above reply at 6:11 am DST…Hell the sun wasn’t even up yet and I hadn’t had my java!…I of course meant “his Videos” and there should’ve been a comma after the word ‘no’…
Thanks.
