Not sure if any of you Americans have heard of the newspaper or online media site “Der Spiegel.”  If you haven’t, no worries.  But it happens to be one of if not Europe’s largest publications with a circulation of more than one million a week.  Not to mention their site is pretty damned large.

So this is kind of like The New York Times compiling a bunch of pictures that they deemed to be the best of 2008.  I gotta tell you I was kind of hoping for some insane porn shots in here given that zee Germans are into that raunchy stuff.

However, the photos I compiled certainly qualify as pretty awesome.  I’ve selected 15 that I deemed worthy of the term “uncoached.”
