I don’t necessarily like to use the words “selling out” because that connotes some kind of wrong doing on the celebrity’s part. These are human beings like the rest of us and they’re just trying to make a living. I mean in this economy I’d let a sumo wrestler take a dump on my head in a commercial if it paid well enough.
Nevertheless it’s definitely humorous to see celebrities back in their early days doing print magazine ads. I mean who would have thought that Willie Mays would be doing syrup ads? I for one, had no clue.
