Is it so tough to write something like “Hey guys, I’ve been out for a while but I’ve returned.  I know most of you weren’t really pleased with me before so I’d imagine you think I’m Public Enemy number one.  But insist that things will be different this time around.  If you just bear with me, we’ll get through this.”
