The Good Old Days: 10 Great Clips from when Jim Carrey Used to be Funny
Can someone please tell me what the hell happened to Jim Carrey? And this new movie Yes Man that’s coming out? Come on! You’ve gotta be kidding me. I’m pretty sure the last time I remember seeing Carrey be even remotely funny in a movie was Bruce Almighty, and I must say that’s really pushing it because in the grand scheme of things, he wasn’t funny at all.
I miss the days of In Living Color and Ace Ventura. And it’s not just shows or movies. He’s not nearly as off the wall or funny in interviews anymore. Sure he wore a woman’s bathing suit on the beach one day, but come on. It’s certainly not vintage Carrey.
So wherever the real Jim Carrey is, I miss you buddy. Please come back and do an Ace Ventura III. And do it right. These videos are a tribute to the old, real Jim Carrey.
Ace Ventura Tank Scene
It’s not so much the overall scenes in Ace Ventura. It’s every single time he speaks that he’s funny. I feel like I picked up on a new funny thing like 100 times over from this flick. Carrey at his best.
Dumb and Dumber
I think any scene would have done just fine here.
Liar Liar
I think this is when he was kind of losing it, but still this movie had some funny parts. This was probably the funniest.
Ace Ventura 2 - The Monopoly Guy
This is incredible.

I totally agree with you. I was just watching the first ace last night and I was wondering where all that went to. he might as well start doing movies with drew barrymore.
My favorite part in ace is when he does that halftime show and the super slow mo replay in the insane asylum. classic cary, or in dumb and dumber when he adlibs the part about the man on the moon.
