There’s perhaps no movie getting as much buzz right now as Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler. The tagline of the moment is from Newsweek which proclaims the film as “The resurrection of Mickey Rourke.”

And I must say that this is probably the case.  The last time I was this pumped to see Mickey Rourke was for the movie Sin City.   I couldn’t think of a better role for Rourke than to play a broken down, almost down and out, has been wrestler.

I can’t say I like the Bruce Springsteen making it mushy music, but overall I don’t think there’s any way this movie fails.
