Saw him play the Sonics in the Kingdome. Back and forth all the way through the game, ended up tied with :02 left, Boston ball. 

Everyone knew where the ball was coming out of bounds. Bird was double covered, stepped out of it and was about 40 feet from the net.

Got the inbounds pass anyway, turned, and you know the rest.

40 footer, no rim, :00. Never forget it.</description>
