It’s the Alcohol That Binds Them: Red Fans Assimilate at Indiana/Wisconsin Game
Most college football games are about rivalry. And I’m sure there were plenty of fans who were talking trash at this past weekend’s Indiana vs. Wisconsin game. However, rarely have I seen collective sets of fans from different teams gathering together before a game like I did in these pictures.
Perhaps it’s that they all wore red. Perhaps it was putting energy drinks in drinking helmets. I could have many theories as to why but I think I know the real reason: beer. Yes, beer. It was the self beer bonging and the playing of flip cup.
I’m assuming everyone who wore red just assumed they were playing with one of their own, and by the time the game started no one could really see the team logos. At least that’s what I keep telling myself.
And what’s with the guy and the fanny pack? And the hand holding frolic?
