To Be That Guy on That Day: Rony Seikaly Grabs 34 Rebounds
Many of us guys envy athletes and other guys out there. In fact, some of us wouldn’t mind actually being these guys for extended periods of time.
However, there are certainly some guys that we couldn’t care less about being. But on some nights? In some moments? It’d be pretty cool to have their lives for that moment.
That brings us to Rony Seikaly’s 34 rebound night….
The Year was 1993 and I have no idea if he was dating or married to Elsa Benitez. For arguments sake, let’s assume he was. Rony must have felt unstoppable. Can you imagine how virile the guy must have been that night?
Imagine the hormones jumping. Elsa probably had no clue what kind of a night she was in for (or any other lady Rony knew he could have that night).
Confidence must have been at an all time high. No better time than to cash in on feeling great than after grabbing 34 boards.
By the way I wish his name were pronounced RONE-EE and not Ronnie.

SEIKLAY GRABBED 34 BOARDS IN A GAME??? how did i not know this!!! wow. talk about the type of guy who could get you 34 rebounds in a game, or in a week.
If Rony was matched up against Kelly Tripuka as he was in the photo on this blog, you have to wonder why he only picked off 34 rebounds. Puke Face sure wasn’t going to hustle after the ball.
