Authorities say a grandmother was arrested for driving around the parking lot of a Marathon grocery store with her 3-year-old child sitting on the roof of the car.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the Publix store Tuesday and arrested a 54-year-old woman after she was driving around with her three-year-old granddaughter on the roof of her car.

Hmm. Interesting question here. Do I laugh at this? I mean it’s certainly funny to visually think about seeing a 3-year-old on top of a car roof while the vehicle is moving. The sheer stupidity of the action is funny enough. At the same time you gotta feel for that little kid.

And 54? It’s not like the woman is 85 years old and can’t see or hold her poop in her pants. This is just one of those ridiculous things. Amazingly the woman told the police that she was giving the child some air and letting it have fun.

I’ll make sure to put that in my handbook of tips for tots.  Or should I say “complete douchebag moronic asinine” tips for tots.
