Of all the players in baseball that have reached what I’d consider legendary status, Ken Griffey Jr. has probably been the one most under the radar, at least as it pertains to getting home run number 600. The other 5 guys that have done it? Ruth, Mays, Bonds, Aaron, and Sosa?

Ugh. I’m definitely annoyed that Sosa is on this list. At least the other four are all in the argument for best player ever, which obviously Griffey would be in if not for his injuries during his career. Yes Bonds is a roid guy but we know he was great before his head swelled.

So while this article is an absolute abomination on what I’d really like to write, I just wanted to extend my congrats to a truly great guy of baseball. Griffey really is the man.

And by the way, I just felt like adding two pictures of his nephew on some big boat in the Bahamas for Spring break in 2003. Thanks for your time.
