I can’t think of anything better than Darryl Strawberry joining what is already an amazing Mets booth. The NY Daily News announces he’ll be yacking it up on April 28.

Keith Hernandez is loony enough up in that booth. Ron Darling definitely knows his stuff and Gary Cohen is a great nucleus that holds it all together.

Where will Darryl Strawberry fit in?

I’m guessing he and Hernandez will definitely make references to cocaine and call Darling a pretty boy at some point.

I can’t believe how nervous Gary Cohen will be. He will have no clue what to do with himself when Strawberry comes in and talks about his son’s Myspace chick and doing eight balls.

I honestly didn’t think there was a way to improve an already stellar booth to announce games, but SNY just made a great move. I’m very excited for this.

P.S. I’m a Yankee fan and the addition of David Cone to the YES network isn’t really helping matters much.

Can you guys get a little more boring? Seriously man. I like Singleton’s voice but Jesus if I don’t fall asleep every time I hear him speak. I liked Girardi as an announcer and now he’s just gonna be pissed all season with Steinbrenner up his ass.

Fellas, just hire some ex players who were in trouble with the law and roll the dice.
