To some, riding a unicycle might be a hobby. To others it’s a way of life. Royal Purple takes us through a “Day in the life of” William Koebke, a junior college student living in Whitewater.

“Senior Eric Halverson, a finance major, didn’t know Koebke but had seen him around campus. “I always wonder whether he’s doing it because he really likes it or if he just does it for attention, or to be ‘that’ kid,” he said.

There has even been a Facebook group formed called “We hate the unicycle kid” to which Koebke responded “Basically, I don’t care because it’s just people making judgments based on nothing.”

Based on nothing huh? William, you’re 20 years old and you ride a unicycle around campus all day. You don’t think that’s just a little strange? I’ll bet that the chicks really dig it. Kind of like a cool magician at a party.
